Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program

The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is a HUD-funded initiative that delivers coordinated housing, employment, and supportive services to Chicago youth and young adults (ages 18–24) experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Built around lived-experience leadership, equity, and positive youth development, YHDP weaves sustainable living and wraparound supports into a system that meets each young person where they are.

About this Program

Services include linkage to housing opportunities, employment coaching, education re-engagement, behavioral & healthcare referrals, and life-skills development — wrapped in trauma-informed, identity-affirming case management.

YHDP is delivered in partnership with All Chicago, HUD, the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, and a network of community-based providers — centering the voices and choices of young people throughout planning and service delivery.
