About this Program
The Veteran Employment Program combines individualized career planning, job readiness training, resume and interview support, direct job placement, and career coaching. Services are available in person, by phone, or virtually, allowing veterans to access practical assistance that fits their needs and schedules. Each participant develops an Individual Development Plan outlining employment goals, barriers, action steps, and referrals.
The program also connects veterans to supportive services, veteran-friendly employers, and entrepreneurship training. Staff provide warm referrals to housing, healthcare, and community resources; assistance with transportation, food, and work-related items when available; and 30- and 90-day follow-up support to strengthen job retention and long-term economic stability.
Veterans interested in self-employment may participate in Of Color Inc.’s six-week Veteran Entrepreneurship Workshop series, offered at least twice each year. Led by organizational leadership and experienced partners, the workshops are designed for veterans who are ready to explore business ownership, develop their ideas, and commit to completing the full series.
